The town of Piran is a national historical monument. It is an old Mediterranean town situated at the cape of the Piran peninsula on the northern side of Istria. Piran has managed to maintain its clustered medieval structure of narrow winding streets, houses huddled close together, rising in cascades, numerous squares and churches and a traditional contact with the sea.
A gem of Venetian Gothic architecture, but it can be a mob scene at the height of summer. In quieter times, it’s hard not to fall instantly in love with the atmospheric winding alleyways, the sunsets and the seafood restaurants.
For many, Piran has been considered as a dream city with truly photogenic view. Spending your time here would truly not be a waste of your time due to the fact that it would you feel like you have entered a different world, a world that you could only imagine out of the book.
On this half-day guided walking food tour we eat our way through the neighborhood enjoying 4 delicious food tastings and some unique historical sites.
If you like sea adventures, perhaps you should experience Piran and Slovenian wines from the sea side.
