A hour-by-hour plan to guide your trip.
We will pick you up with one of our comfortable, air-conditioned 8-seats mini-vans and we'll take you to the countryside, away from the busy city. With a short ride, you'll be at the doors of Savrini Hills where some of the most famous wines are produced.
First you will receive an orientation conducted by a trained professional, ensuring the safe operation of the Vespas before we head out for our engaging and enjoyable ride.
Please Note: "Vespa" is used as a generic term. Our scooters are made by piaggio, makers of the vespa model.
The ride, along scenic country roads will offer splendid views of the rolling hillside, vineyards and olive groves, little ancient churches and medieval villages. We will enjoy the most incredible landscapes and several stops for photo opportunities will be made along the way.
You will visit one of the most famous wineries in the heart of the Savrini Hills area, and enjoy a guided tour of their cellars. There, you will receive an up close look at the production and ageing process of local wines provided with an in depth explanation by our wine expert.
After that, we'll enjoy a guided wine tasting at the panoramic terrace of the winery farm combined with olives, cheese and extra-virgin olive oil bruschettas.
Following your guide, leave the winery and head to the hills, passing beautiful vineyards while enjoying a panoramic view of Koper. Ride along quiet and beautiful (mostly paved back) country roads offering an enchanting views of whole hilly area of Savrini.
The tour section passes through a highest point of Slovenian Istra and offers many gorgeous spots for taking photographs.
Finally, we reach Kostabona - a small Istrian village where a typical local lunch (or dinner, depending on which departure you choose) will be served at a boutique family estate combined with a guided wine tasting.
An authentic Istrian lunch will give you the opportunity to enjoy the rich regional gastronomy, and fresh seasonal products.
After lunch we will slowly proceed to our next winery, stopping to visit the village/town of St. Peter famous for its distinctive traditional architecture.
In the village there's an old house - Tonina's house - and the Church of St. Peter, with the remains of the Renaissance altar.
Stop at the second winery in the heart of the region to learn all about winemaking. Explore the vineyards and cellar with your guide, and then taste several local wines. After the tasting session we will slowly proceed to our end point.
Opportunity to purchase and ship local wines (Refosk, Malvazija ...) worldwide.
We return back to your hotel after the most enjoyable day out. The last view of Savrini Hills on the way back to the hotel. The view that we will never forget.
