What Can You Expect

Our excursion to Slovene Riviera is an unforgettable whole day devoted to the discovery of one of the most amazing and enchanting landscapes in this part of the world. Five villages, hanging between sea and land, a place where you can immerse yourselves in a paradise.

Our visit begins at daybreak, with the arrival at KOPER - the town, dating back to the early thirteenth century and famous for its historic character and local wine. You can admire the houses leaning one against the other and stroll along the narrow streets and sheltered paths.

On the way to the next village, you will have the chance to admire the astonishing coastal panorama from a high vantage point, with a very light hike on an almost leveled trail through seaside vineyards, with almost no one else except your small group walking on it. Natural amphitheaters of vineyards will disclose to your eyes and senses, facing the sea and the open horizon, and you will learn about the unique peculiarities of grape harvesting and wine production of this region.

IZOLA - an old fishing village with rich history. The Latin name for island is 'isola' and Izola used to be an island that was connected to the mainland by a stony bridge. Established by refugees from Aquileia in the 7th century, the town was once surrounded by a wall, which was pulled down at the beginning of the 19th century, the material used to cover the sea between the island and mainland.

Then, we reach STRUNJAN by walking along the famous “Strunjan Clif” and above the “Moon Bay” a romantic and evocative walk known from the rocks falling sheer into the sea. Strunjan is a charming old salt-making village, located between the magnificent Venetian old town of Piran and the charming old fishing town of Izola. It lies in a bay of the same name. Much of this area is a nature reserve that lies along a 4 km stretch of Adriatic coast to the north of the village.

A delicious lunch with wine tasting in a typical restaurant on the sea is included, thus you will be able to enjoy incredible fresh seafood cooked the local way, accompanied by some great white wines typical of this region.

Our journey continues to PIRAN, an ancient fishing town considered “The Pearl of The Slovene Riviera”, where you will be awed by its enchanting Venetian architecture. Here you will have free time to plunge into the crystal sea and sunbathe, before proceeding to PORTOROZ, a seaside town surrounding a small natural bay.
